Ever since I started this blog people have been asking me for a method to print foil proxies. The transparency method has been around for a long time, but I never felt comfortable recommending it because it didn’t live up the quality that I wanted. 

After brainstorming with one of my readers I finally came up with a method that does not use transparencies.

Here's a video explaining the basics of using Photoshop to make your own proxies.

Some of these techniques can be used for doing alters as well, for example the layer mask.

Terese Nielsen's original art is pretty cool, but I had to make this borderless. Also, I wanted the art to be a little more fairytale-ish for an EDH deck I'm making that's all old border or full art.

The original art for Teysa is actually pretty good, but still it can't compete with borderless full art ;)
